It’s no secret that we are big proponents of putting purpose at the core of your business and its strategy. One of the most valuable teachings from the pandemic was learning how to slow down and evaluate what was important in our lives and why. Why am I investing my time in this activity, event, in this work, or in this company? What purpose does it serve? Why is it important?
In the business world, the answer all too often is just to make money or profit. But that can’t be the primary motivation. Regardless of size or industry, research has shown there IS something more – a way the organization and its people contribute to the greater good. Every strong organization must have a PURPOSE.
Purpose-driven businesses simply perform better. From employee retention and productivity to customer loyalty and profitability, the data overwhelmingly support that purpose-driven companies have a clear advantage.
If your organization doesn’t have a clear purpose, then what’s the point?
It’s never too late to start and figure out your why. But remember, your purpose isn’t just words on a page, it’s something you DO. If your company already has all this figured out, great! But don’t stop there. Next, bring your purpose into action – share it, use it as a guide for decision making, and incentivize it!
Our passion is purpose-driven business – being one ourselves and helping our clients do the same. If you’re interested in learning more, check out some of our related content below or get in touch so we can help.
